Mel Brooks is a trusted name in comedy, but in the skin business he’s not your first stop for nudity. But maybe customers have prejudged this funnyman. You’ve got to laugh, true, but what’s funnier than a wardrobe malfunction? Not much, and when you’re working in a tight bodice for a period piece your pieces may unintentionally pop out for a peek. That’s just what happens to Pamela Stephenson in History of the World Part I, a Specical Edition of which is out on DVD today. The big blonde comic from New Zealand shows her big boobs as they come bursting out of her bustier. But check out her nude debut in Stand Up Virgin Soldiers if you want your marine to stand at attention.

It takes a classy picture, such as Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle, out today on DVD, to get the classy ladies to show off their classy asses. And that’s just what Jennifer Jason Leigh and Gwyneth Paltrow do in this story of the Algonquin Round Table and the hourglass figures that made great wit around it. Jennifer plays sarcastic scribe Dorothy Parker, who may be famous for her barbed words printed in The New Yorker, but it’s her bared boobs that get kudos here. Gwyneth plays an actress who likes to show off her act-chest. She’s sitting around topless when Jennifer walks in on her. Too bad Dorothy Parker wasn’t a lesbian or else this movie would really be a breastseller.

What can be said about Oz, the HBO series that took a homoerotic look behind bars and probably scared more potential criminals straight than Scared Straight? Not much, really. It never got the critical accolades that other series on HBO have earned, but it was one enthralling, maddening, and insane piece of work. It’s no longer with us, but we have more than memories. We have The Complete Sixth Season, out today on DVD, and the final in the series. Is there any nudity? Oh, yes, manfuls! But as for the female variety . . . well, doubtful. They got that out of the way early in the game. Still, maybe the Skinsider is feeling a bit gay today, but props to this penis-revealing drama.

Speaking of giving respect where it is due, let us now praise the WB. After watching Supernatural: The Complete First Season, out today on DVD, perhaps those initials don’t stand for Warner Bros. but Watching Boobs, because that’s just what the Skinsider did when tuning in for the episode “Dead in the Water.” It stars Amy Acker, who was lust obscene in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer spin-off Angel, but it’s here that she gets her skin wings. She’s thrashing about in a tub fully nude and apparently struggling with some supernatural being, which allows viewers some fine, accidental slips of her pink nips.
