The Toronto Film Festival is back and that means a sneak look at skin. How happy the Skinsider is to bring to you this early look. Let’s begin with two selections that have just been released theatrically.
Confetti opens with Olivia Colman riding a bike completely nude. Too bad it’s not filmed in smell-o-vision. Olivia is a naturalist and her natural breasts are clearly on display, which is a strong endorsement for such a lifestyle. Too bad she’s with her husband, especially too bad because his penis is visible. But the next minute we get a full-frontal shot of Olivia and all is forgotten and forgiven. Her breasts appear again about ten minutes later followed by an anonymous chick sipping her tea topless. Olivia just can’t keep her clothes on and we see her breasts again at the twenty-two-minute mark and then her bush again forty-one minutes into the movie. She adds some T&A in her wedding scene an hour and eighteen minutes into the movie. No one objects to that!
Another entry at the Toronto Fest is The Last Kiss, which seven minutes in features Patricia Stasiak and Lisa Mackey as strippers fondling each other on a hammock. It’s a breastacular bachelor-party scene. Twenty-three minutes in Marley Shelton gives a brief underwear flash. A minute later, Cindy Sampson shows off her briefs quickly during a sex scene. A little more than ten minutes after that, Cindy gives a better view of her better (naked) half.

Also opening in September are movies with lots of nudity. Let’s start with the September 1st release of This Film Is Not Yet Rated, a documentary about, well, the ratings system in Hollywood and its inherent bias. That, naturally, means lots of dirty clips.

September 8th saw the release of Sherrybaby, which reunites audiences with the oddly sexy Maggie Gyllenhaal. Fourteen minutes in she’s showing off her butt and boobs in a sex act. To make it even hotter, she says, “My friend shaved it, do you want to kiss it?” Wonder what she’s talking about. Maggie shows her breasts a few more times, but after that scene all is a blur.

Artie Lange’s Beer League joins Confetti and The Last Kiss with a September 15th release date. The singularly named Keisha entertains Ralph Macchio at his bachelor party by shooting ping-pong balls out of her sugar hole, but we don’t see that. We do see her breasts, so it’s not a total loss. There are other anonymous nudie cuties at the party, such as two topless girls making out, a stripper on a pool table, and even more jugs to watch jiggle. This beer is in a league of its own.

The Science of Sleep, which opens next week, September 22nd, has a weirdly sexual bath scene with Aurélia Petit wearing pasties in the tub and soaking in cellophane. She does offer a brief view of her buns and later a left nipple slips out for a how-dee-doo. An anonymous calendar girl shows off her breasts and bush, but Charlotte Gainsbourg, usually so skin friendly, is only seen in a gray tank top and panties. Still, as science goes, this is entertaining stuff.

The month of September ends with A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, which opens on the 29th. Eleonore Hendricks lifts her skirt twelve minutes in to show off her panties but better yet exposes her breasts moments later pre-sex. Julia Garro handles the latter half of nudity in the film with a side view of her right boob one hour and twenty minutes into the movie. Her shirt is stolen poolside by some boys. Bad boys . . .
