Maybe the famous saying of doomed French Queen Marie Antoinette, which is also the name of the new Sofia Coppola movie that just opened, “Let them eat cake,” was in fact, “Let them eat cheesecake.” At least that’s how it appears in this modern take featuring the alluring charms of Kirsten Dunst, playing the beheaded Queen. That’s because this is the first and only time that Kirsten has shown off her royal behind onscreen. That occurs nine minutes into the movie, as she is dressed by her handmaidens. It’s a nice shot from behind, which demands a nice shot from viewers in their pants. Later, about twenty-five minutes in, she shows off a hint of ass crack, and then, an hour and thirty-four minutes into the flick, she’s in bed in her underwear with a fan covering her breasts. But the damage has been done. Once you go skin you never go back.

If you don’t know what The L Word is, then you haven’t been reading this column. With the release today of The Complete Third Season, the Skinsider is about to release a box set of my own . . . in my pants. But before I do, a little preview. Anyone looking for some Rosanna Arquette? Then check out “Lifeline,” where she lip-locks with Katherine Moennig. Rosanna is in bra and panties and Katherine loses her bra. Jennifer Beals flashes some nice ass (though it may be a body double) in the same episode, which also features a kinky sex scene with Erica Cerra and Leisha Hailey, and Erin Daniels and Lauren Lee Smith get it on too. That’s it. The Skinsider has to stop. I can only describe one episode from this steamy season. Now, if you’ll excuse me. . . .

Ah, that’s better. Now, where was I? Yes, Slither, out today on DVD, is the kind of comedy-horror everyone loves. No, the comedy isn’t so great. The horror isn’t especially memorable, either. But it does feature some sexy perv-formances from Elizabeth Banks and Brenda James, no strangers to skin, but skinless here. Thankfully Tania Saulnier picks up the slack. It’s her first and only nude scene onscreen, a sexy bathtub encounter, which will have something slithering out of your fly.

There was a Tower of Babel in the Bible, and if it was anything like Babel, making a limited theatrical run this Friday with a wide release on November 10th, then no wonder people wanted to build it. Though it’s doubtful anyone as naked as Rinko Kikuchi is in Babel was in that tower. She shows bush twenty-seven minutes in, flashing it in her schoolgirl outfit. Then thirteen minutes later she flashes her furry bits for a girlfriend. There’s another full-frontal scene fifty-one minutes later, and Rinko isn’t done yet. She exposes her right breast and butt eighteen minutes after that and finally her butt when naked on a balcony near the end of the movie. It’ll make you babble.
