The story of The Black Dahlia, out on DVD today, has become the signature tale of crime auteur James Ellroy. The gruesome murder, where the naked body of the female victim was found severed in two, does not seem at first glance as the go-to film for flesh--at least not the kind the Skinsider craves. Thankfully director Brian De Palma cast Hilary Swank and Mia Kirshner, both of whom show skin, buns and breasts, respectively. And though Scarlett Johansson isn't officially nude, just seeing her sexy underwear is enough for the Skinsider to murder a million sperm cells.

Another literary feature hits the DVD shelves today, Factotum. This one was penned by legendary drunk Charles Bukowski, and regardless of what you think of his work as a writer, there can be no dispute that he was a dirty old man. Dirty old men love hot young women and Bukowski was no different. His stories are littered with lusty conquests, which shows what a talent he must have been. How many bums score at the level he did? Oh, right: He wrote fiction. Anyway, in this adaptation of his novel Emily Hynnek plays a bullet-nipped stripper who greases the pole one hour and twenty-three minutes in, and Marisa Tomei finally makes her skin debut with a good look at her cans. That's nothing to be bummed about.

Sex and violence, two great tastes that taste great together, have rarely been displayed as well as in the controversial British flick Angst, out on DVD today. Fiona Horsey is an actress you'd like to ride, especially after she opens the movie showing off her bush and boobs in the shower for a peeping tom. But be careful what you wish for: Fiona's bush is a beast and literally bites back. More conventional is Jaye Macaulay, who just does a three-B skinny dip. Amy Steel and her identical twin sister, Beth Steel, almost steal the show with their kinky sexual hijinks. Their itty-bitty titties make a sweet dessert after Fiona's meaty main course and Jaye's palette- and pants-cleansing dish.

Sheitan, out today on DVD, is another foreign-made comedy-horror flick with nudity. This time it's the French--no strangers to skin--who offer up the goods. Those goodies are Aurore Faurois, a first-timer, and Roxane Mesquida, a veteran of Catherine Breillat's explicit arthouse features. Aurore breaks the skin barrier with jugs and tush exposed, while old pro Roxane just lets her freak flag fly, as in her breasts. There's even anonymous nudity, because in France all the girls like to go without underpants.
